Q: What is ENO-Environment Online?
A: ENO is a global web school for environmental awareness where students
find and collect environmental information in their communities and share
it through ENO website.
Q: Where is the ENO Programme administrated?
A: The ENO Prorgamme is currently administrated by
the education department, the city of Joensuu, Finland. Pataluoto
School is the coordinator school.
Q: When did the ENO Programme start?
A: ENO started in August 2000. In the beginning it was administrated by
municipality of Eno. Eno Elementary was the coordinator school. See the
progress adn summaries of school years here.
Q: How long will this programme continue?
A: ENO started five years ago. The programme will go on so far, depending
to the funding. ENO is funded by the city of Joensuu, National board of
education and some other donors.
Q: How can schools take part to ENO?
A: Schools have to apply for ENO with an online application. Time for
applications is annually from February till the end of March. Please note
also that we have some open activities (like tree
planting event in September) if your school or youth group is interested.
Q: Are there any fees in ENO?
A: ENO is a free programme for schools. Currently only schools in Finland
has a membership fee. Because of difficulties with funds we would appreciate
to receive voluntary fees. See more here.
